Ski Area boundary: 320
Groomed terrain: the majority of the boundary area
Beginner: 25%
Intermediate: 55%
Advanced: 20%
Highest Point: 1894m
Lowest Point: 1669m
Lifts: 2 Quads 1 Express Quad 3 Magic Carpets 1 Platter

Why we Love Cardrona:

  • Its laid back terrain
  • It's park (and its 4 pipes) is one of the best in the region with features to satisfy a first time park rider right though to the extremest freestyle skiers/boarders in the country
  • Untapped back country
  • The Mulled wine in the Upstairs Cafe

You should go to Cardrona if:

  • You have members of your group who are learning
  • You want to get in the park as well as ride the whole mountain
  • You want to have a drink at the Cardrona pub after a hard days skiing/riding

Lift Passes: Lift tickets start from $79 for a full day adult pass
Lessons: Lessons and kids programs can be organized on the mountain



Treble Cone

Ski Area boundary: 550 hectares
Groomed terrain: 50 hectares
Beginner: 10%
Intermediate: 45%
Advanced: 45%
Highest Point: 1960m
Lowest Point: 1255m
Lifts: 6 Seater high speed chair 1 Quad 1 Platter 1 Magic Carpet

Why we Love TC:

  • It is the largest ski field in the South Island
  • Longest intermediate groomed run (4km)
  • Wicked views accorss Lake Wanaka
  • It has legendary powder days
  • Has the best freeriding terrain in NZ or OZ!

You should go to TC if:

  • Your group are intermediate to advanced skiers or snowbaords who like to ride ski intermediate-advanced off-pieste terrain
  • It's a massive powder day
  • it's a beautiful day and you are too sore to ski/board and you want to enjoy a coffe/wine relax and check out the amazing views

Lessons: Lessons and kids programs can be organized on the mountain




Snow Park - Click for large view

Ski Field: SnowparkNZ

Stats:

One double lift will take you to the top of the park where you can take many different lines hitting rails, kickers, the quarter pipe, wall rides, spines, cliff drop, half pipes, boxes etc etc.

They have a good variety of features to keep beginners right though to the experts entertained!

Why we Love Snowpark:

  • You get to listen to Music while you ride!
  • Wicked gigs/comps/parties
  • awesome park features
  • watching from the huge deck is like watching ski & board DVD's

You should go to Snowpark if:

  • You wanna ride park/drink/party
  • You want to watch some of NZs and the worlds best Skiers and Snowboarders

Stats:

Terrain: over 50km of groomed trails 6 tubing or sledding runs
Highest Point: 1500m

Why we Love Snow Farm NZ:

  • They have over 50km of track
  • They have a wicked sleding and tubing park

You should go to Snow Farm NZ if:

  • If you want to go to cross country skiing
  • To take the kids to the tubing park
  • Get fit or adventure out to one of the huts on the Pisa range
